What’s up Diehards?
Welcome to my first NFL Mock Draft of the 2025 calendar year and my first as the national draft expert at ALLCITY Network.
Let’s get the introductions out of the way first. My name is Fran Duffy and I’m based in Philadephia, where I work for PHLY and ALLCITY.
The NFL Draft has long been a passion of mine, dating all the way back to the big Ricky Williams-Donovan McNabb debate in 1999. The discourse got me hooked on the draft, and it only escalated from there. The next few years I spent draft weekend glued to my television, with my takes growing stronger and stronger as time went on.
I enrolled at Temple University in the fall of 2004, and the following spring I began work doing some freelance writing for the 2005 class. The following spring, I took a job working for the Temple University Football team, and what started as a hobby soon evolved into a lifelong education that still continues to this day.
As I learned more about the game that I loved, it only led me further down the path of studying the sport. After five seasons with the Owls, I left for the NFL and spent 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Over the last two decades, I’ve had countless conversations with coaches, scouts, players, and media members from all corners of the sport about the draft and the entire team-building process. This process is the lifeblood of every successful team and organization, and I can’t wait to create thoughtful and insightful content around it in the weeks, months, and years to come!
This mock draft is just the first of several I’ll be filing on CHGO this winter and spring. I’ll also be working with the CHGO Bears staff on a big interactive database of NFL prospects as well as popping up on their show to provide insight into what the Bears might do at the end of April.
I invite you to follow me on X/Twitter at @FDuffyNFL.
My approach to mock drafts is to imagine myself in the room as a fly on the wall for all 32 selections. These are not the players that I would personally would pick in each of these slots. Instead, these are the picks that I believe would happen based on what I’ve heard about team interest, projected roster needs, past draft trends, and more.
One additional note: The order of the first 24 selections has been cemented after the wild card round. Picks 25-32 will be solidified as the playoffs continue, but those picks here have been ordered by regular season record.
Off we go!
